- Summer Dates Across Midwest & Colorado -
Summer performances have been receiving favorable reviews, while new dates are still being added to our calendar, including a homecoming performance in Oskaloosa, IA as well as a last minute addition filling in for the lounge pianist at a Lake Geneva, WI lakeside resort. Visit our JavaShows page to see if Jeff is scheduled to play near you. If he isn't, consider helping us set up a booking in your area! Contact us and we will gladly assist you in getting the ball rolling. He is also available for weddings and other events so don't hesitate to contact us.
- Soprano Vocalist Added for Selected Dates -
Annie Lee sang a few pieces with Jeff's accompaniment at several Fall '09 dates.
Following the conclusion of these dates, an invitation was extended to Annie to participate with Jeff in his second appearance at the Summer Christian Concert Series at YMCA of the Rockies. With her acceptance, several additional dates have been added to take advantage of this new format. We are delighted to welcome Annie on this new venture with JavaMusiK and look forward to seeing what new directions this all may bring.
- Annie Herring in Glenwood Springs, CO -
JavaMusiK is extremely proud to have hosted the Gospel Music Hall of Fame Award recipient Annie Herring, who performed at Glenwood Springs, (CO) First United Methodist Church; Thursday, April 29.
Along with her brother Matthew and sister Nelly, Annie was the founder of Christian Artist group Second Chapter of Acts. In the early 90's, Annie's ministry changed to a solo career. Her early recordings were a major influence on Jeff's own piano compositional style. Seeing Annie and Second Chapter of Acts in performance numerous times through the years led Jeff to pursue the possibility of bringing Annie's ministry to Glenwood Springs. It finally happened and we couldn't be happier!
- Fall '09 Tour Dates Recap -
Jeff played several Showcase Events throughout Western Colorado
in promotion of his newest cd, 'Don't Ever Forget.'
Each event was set up to include not only a showcase performance by Jeff & the piano, but also to share the talents & fellowship of local musicians/artists from the hosting venue.
- Facebook: Are U On It? -
www.Facebook.com has become all the rage lately for social networking. In many ways, it feels less 'slimy' than recent MySpace incarnations, due primarily to the overuse of flash/html editing & stimulus overload at MySpace. Click here to access Jeff's Facebook Profile. If you're not registered on Facebook or 'Friends' with your friends, you will have limited access to their profile, etc. This is a great feature. The default privacy settings allow you to control who you network with and what can be shared with whom on this particular site. Be sure to send Jeff a 'Friend Request' upon visiting.

- Masters Degree Completed! -
JavaMusiK wishes a congratulations to Jeff on the completion of his Masters of Music Education Degree at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. He completed his studies this summer with a thesis project and piano recital demonstration which included several of his own compositions, among others. Jeff wrote some reflections about graduation day in The JavaMusiK BloG.
Be sure to read it and all the other mindless (but now highly educated) drivel throughout that blog.
We also wish to note Jeff has started this school year off in a new (to him) school district. After 7 years teaching elementary music along with establishing a gold medal award winning childrens choir program, pioneering a western slope honor choir and resurrecting a defunct band program in Parachute, CO, he is now teaching music at two elementary schools in New Castle, CO. Once again, Jeff is organizing a childrens choir with hopes of establishing a positive opportunity for his students.
- Thank-you Estes Park! -
Jeff was invited to return to Estes Park, Colorado for a June 10 Summerfest performance where YMCA of The Rockies played host to our only 2008 concert appearance. We were proud to be a part of the Y's
100 year anniversary with their Summerfest festivities last year and return again this year for our 7th appearance in the last 10 years. As one of Jeff's favorite places to play, it once again didn't disappoint this year. The crowd was fabulous & of course the atmosphere was perfect as usual.
We're hopeful that now with the masters degree studies behind him, the concerts can resume as well as some long-awaited recording. Stay tuned!
